We drove from Molde towards Alesund to the Aksla viewpoint. To
get out of Molde, we had to take a ferry across fjord. Little did we know that
this would be first of many ferries in the days to come.
The Aksla viewpoint is
situated in an apt location to get a view of the Alesund town at the tip of a
piece of land protruding into the ocean. Tastefully developed piece of town and
Aksla viewpoint captured its beauty from a vantage point that had an almost
clear unobstructed view. To get there, has to drive through winding roads
going through a densely populated town all the way to the top of the hill.
A
visitor center/restaurant there could be a cool place to sip a cup of coffee
with the view of Alesund through the surrounding glass windows.
Around the
viewpoint, there is a small hike that takes one to a higher altitude to get
another view.
