Molde to Ålesund - Norway (Day 3)

We drove from Molde towards Alesund to the Aksla viewpoint. To get out of Molde, we had to take a ferry across fjord. Little did we know that this would be first of many ferries in the days to come.
The Aksla viewpoint is situated in an apt location to get a view of the Alesund town at the tip of a piece of land protruding into the ocean. Tastefully developed piece of town and Aksla viewpoint captured its beauty from a vantage point that had an almost clear unobstructed view. To get there, has to drive through winding roads going through a densely populated town all the way to the top of the hill. 
A visitor center/restaurant there could be a cool place to sip a cup of coffee with the view of Alesund through the surrounding glass windows.
Around the viewpoint, there is a small hike that takes one to a higher altitude to get another view.

We decided to go to Belize as it happened to be an escape from the chilly Northeast for a few days. It turned to be a wonderful trip not only for the climate, but had so much to offer for such a small country. It has the Caribbean vibe with sunny beaches, historic relevance with its Mayan ruins and greenery that feeds a diverse flora and fauna. Pura Vida – Costa Rica!!! (For the list of wildlife that we had the pleasure to see, here is the link  ) After some of our friends had visited Costa Rica in the past few years, we had been contemplating on when to do that. We planned the whole thing in a couple of months and did it. Turned out to be a wonderful trip. Costa Rica is interesting from several different points of view – promotion of eco-tourism, nestled between Nicaragua and Panama, without a military force, safest country in Central America, etc., Though Costa Rica is considered a poor country, it is not a cheap place for tourism. One can expect nothing less than the expenses in US. Initially, we were planning to cover the Arenal, Monteverde and Manual Antonio areas, but after reading more about the Osa Peninsula, we decided to spend half the time in Osa and the rest in Arenal area, doing White Water rafting in-between. Iceland - Land of Fire and Ice (August 2018)

Iceland was a relatively recent quest for us after seeing the videos of its unique landscape and hearing from some of our friends who have visited recently. It was a really difficult choice to decide on what to cover during our visit – Do we do try to drive along the coast (mostly) of the entire island, like many do?! Do we select only a few spots and immerse in its beauty?! In the end, we decided to do only some selective spots as we didn’t want to strain ourselves too much in setting up some lofty goals like touring the entire island. It’s a small piece of island, but still the span is too much to drive around and still take a breather to enjoy each location. So, it turned to be a good choice for us! For the people closer to the east coast of US, it was just 5+ hrs from Boston. IcelandAir seats are relatively more roomier than typical American airlines.
